As we are completing our first week of February, I have noticed there have been much talk about the struggle of staying disciplined. In January, many were excited in planning their goals for the year and as we stepped into February, excitement seems to have trailed off and staying motivated is becoming difficult.
Let’s get back on track. Ask yourself why you set those goals and how will it benefit your life. Importance of willpower, do what you don’t want to do and being in discomfort doesn’t sound fun. However, it is going to get you to the next step of where you want to be. If you stay stagnate, nothing will change. Set realistic goals, break down your big goal into smaller goals. Take it step by step, Rome wasn’t built in a day. Don’t overwhelm yourself with a huge task and giving up before you even begin. Breaking things down will set you up for success. Make sure you celebrate all your successes, no matter how big or small they are. Don’t stress over mishaps/mistakes made when trying to accomplish your goals. Life happens and if you didn’t try, you wouldn’t know it’s not something that will work for you and your goal. Be gentle with yourself and don’t see it as a failure. It is an opportunity to discover and refine the task. Make it work better for you. We are all unique individuals, what work for someone else may not work for you. Don’t look at someone else’s success and give up on your dreams. You don’t know how many times they’ve failed before reaching success. When you see someone doing well, send them positive vibes, because we can all use good energy. See their success as motivation, if they can do it, so can you. Until next time, sending you love and positive vibes! ~Rowena~ ✌️❤️😘
